Double Face Cards
Some cards in this cube are DOUBLE FACED CARDS. As the same suggests, that means there is 2 sides of the card you can play with. Check under the sleeve for the other side! You can do this during the drafting process too, but try not to take too long to decide per pick!
There are three types of double-faced cards. Transform, Day/Night and Modal. Below explains an in-depth how they work. Please note, all werewolves have been errata-ed (rules changed) to be day/night.
Transform
Transform! The trick to knowing if there is a transform card is the sun and moon symbol in the upper corner. These cards need a trigger to "flip" to their other side.
Some cards need a trigger to transform like "discard a card", other use the daybound/nightbound mechanic (read below). Keep an eye out for which one to use! Most werewolves use the Day/Night.
Day/Night
Day/night, is a board state that can be tracked by the helpful token card included in the cube. It starts if a daybound card enters the battlefield causing it to become day for the first time. After that you have to keep track of how many cards spells were cast during the controller's turns to flip back and forth between day and night. If no spells were cast by a player during their own turn, and it was day, it turns into night the next turn. If 2 spells were cast it goes back to day if it was already night.
This will transform cards with daybound and nightbound. REMEMBER it won't transform the cards that need a trigger to transform or need to pay a cost. When in doubt, the card will say daybound or night bound on both sides.
Werewolves used to have a trigger to transform, but we decided as a playgroup all werewolves should be unified to be Daybound
Modal
Modal cards can be played from either side when you cast it. You can tell the difference at the top corner. Its "true" face is the black triangle. The double triangle is the backside. Remember, you get the choice of which side to play ONLY when you could cast it, otherwise it is its face side all the time.
